AMCHAM awards tTech for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility
IT-managed services firm tTech Limited, was named second-place winners for ‘Excellence in Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility’ by The American Chamber of Commerce of Jamaica (AMCHAM) at their 33rd annual Business and Civic Leadership Awards for Excellence ceremony.
tTech was recognized at the event, held last Tuesday at the Jamaica Pegasus, from a group of nominees in the small business category.
The tech company was commended for their commitment to community development and empowering youth to optimize their skills.
An important tenet of tTech’s mandate is attention to corporate social responsibility (CSR) – with a focus on team welfare, community renewal, youth development and partnership with their customers, the company said in a statement.
tTech was the first member of Jamaica’s business community to have donated an augmented reality mural to the Art District of downtown Kingston as a part of its redevelopment project.
In addition, the company carried out Labour Day projects in various communities and donated computers to local schools, among other initiatives.
In receiving the award, tTech CEO Christopher Reckord said: “the tTech team has been supporting numerous initiatives in the corporate area as part of our commitment to community renewal and youth development, and this award indicates that our efforts and commitments are being recognized”.
AMCHAM, through their awards, aims to showcase businesses, individuals and non-pro?t organizations that are driving and achieving economic and social progress in Jamaica through ethical leadership, stewardship, and community-building activities.
